Globally, Samsung is able to beat Nokia in smartphone sales levels. Even Nokia is not in the top five. However, for India region, Nokia branded phone was still more salable compared to other mobile phone brands.

This is revealed in CyberMedia's data as quoted by the Times of India. In India, Nokia has a market share of 22.2 percent of total mobile phone sales in the third quarter of 2012. In second place, Samsung hanging out with the level of sales of 13 percent and Micromax at third position with a percentage of 5.5 percent.

For the record, the level of sales is all kinds of mobile phone. This includes featurephone and smartphone. In India, a total of 102.43 million units of mobile phones have been sold. Meanwhile, the market for smartphones, Samsung is still being the first followed by Nokia and Research in Motion (RIM). In India, a total of 5.5 million units of smartphones were sold.

In these data, also revealed that the Android OS is still the most popular OS with the percentage of 56.4 percent. IN the second place is Symbian (17.4 percent), BlackBerry (12.1 percent), Bada (8.5 percent), iOS (3 percent) and Windows Mobile (2.6 percent).
